Smart Home Designers & Installers

We don't just install. We engineer.

Founded by engineers, not salespeople. We design, install, and rescue smart home systems across London, Hertfordshire, and Essex.

Real luxury isn't about how many gadgets you have; it's about simplicity. At Prestige Home Automation, we design systems that are robust enough to run an estate, but simple enough for a five-year-old to use.

It started with a broken light switch...

Most smart home companies start with a van and a screwdriver. PHA started with a frustration.

Our Technical Director, Arnaud Desaedeleer, bought a property in Bishop's Stortford that came with a high-end Lutron lighting system. It was a mess. The programming was illogical, the switches were confusing, and the system fought against the homeowner rather than working for them.

With a Masters in Advanced Computing, Arnaud knew he could engineer a better "brain" for the house. But he also knew that software is only half the battle. To make a smart home work in the real world, you need someone who understands bricks, mortar, and cabling.

Enter Tom Denyer. A fellow airline pilot with a decade of hands-on construction experience—from plumbing to carpentry.

They realised they had the perfect mix: Arnaud understood the code, and Tom understood the building. Prestige Home Automation was founded on this partnership - bringing high-level computing and practical construction excellence under one roof.

Meet the Founders

Arnaud Desaedeleer

Arnaud Desaedeleer
Technical Architect

Background: Masters in Advanced Computing (Imperial College) & Airline Pilot.

Role: Arnaud is the "Brain" of the system. He designs the network architecture and writes the code that makes your house intelligent.

Obsession: "I look at the network rack first. If it's messy, the system will be messy".

Favourite Smart Feature: "The 'Goodnight' button. One press, and the whole house shuts down for the night.".

Cinema Test Movie: John Wick (For the bullets flying).

Tom Denyer

Tom Denyer
Project Director

Background: Airline Pilot & Construction Specialist (Plumbing, Electrics, Carpentry).

Role: If Arnaud is the code, Tom is the reality. With a background in building, he speaks the language of your architect and contractor, ensuring the tech actually fits the building.

Obsession: "Uniformity. I look at the keypads immediately. If they aren't lined up perfectly with the door frames or lack a consistent button layout, the job isn't done”.

Favourite Smart Feature: Lighting Scenes. "My wife hates harsh light. One button creates a soft, warm atmosphere instantly".

Cinema Test Movie: Top Gun: Maverick (The simulation run).

We fix what others can't.

A large portion of our work involves "System Rescues" - taking over projects where other installers have failed.

We recently walked into a project in St Albans where a client had paid for a premium Control4 system, but the rack was a nest of loose cables and the lighting keypads didn't work. We didn't just patch it up; we stripped it back, terminated every cable correctly, and reprogrammed the house from scratch.

Our Philosophy:

  • Documentation is King: We produce detailed cable schedules for every project. If we pull a cable, it gets labeled.

  • The "Rack" Test: You can tell a professional by their server rack. Ours are immaculate, ventilated, and built to last.

Planning a project or need a rescue?

Whether you are building from scratch or need someone to fix an existing system, we are here to help.
